In collaboration with the Association of (Dutch) Universities, youth marketing agency Soapbox is organizing the second edition of the SDG Challenge this year.
The mission of the SDG Challenge is to inspire and mobilize students and companies to work together on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (UN). These goals have been set to combat climate change and to reduce inequalities in the world.
The image below shows the 17 different SDGs:
How does it work?
The participating companies choose one of the fifteen participating universities and form a team with these students. Kiremko will form a team with a group of students from Delft University of Technology (TU Delft). This student consultant team will join Kiremko during a so called “pressure cooker” day to come up with tangible and actionable ideas that will contribute the challenges that Kiremko has in the area of the SDGs.
During the final on April 24, in Circl Amsterdam, all partners and students present their solutions to a professional jury. The team with the greatest potential impact wins. In addition to inspiration and broadening knowledge in the area of the SDGs, this project offers students the opportunity to critically reflect on contemporary topics together with leading companies.
